The Rogue River, as well as other local rivers including the Chetco River, Winchuck River, Pistol River, Sixes River and Elk River on the Oregon Coastline are some of the hottest vacation areas for Oregon fishing & sight seeing.

 Ocean fishing...

Ocean fishing is completely different altogether - lingcod and rockfish seem to be the best catches here. Gold Beach offers the best ocean bottom fishing opportunities on the Oregon Coast. 

It's done just a few miles offshore in 40 to 125 feet of water, with great catches of excellent seafood. If you're looking to charter a boat in the winter, it's best to call ahead, because weather definitely affects accessibility for safety reasons, current conditions and anglers' preferences.
